A Break

Since we've been in Virginia Beach, we've had a two week break before Shelly starts school for the second semester. Lily started her online classes on January 19th. So, she's been up and running since that time.

We've spent our time getting their bedrooms arranged and doing some decorating. While that has been happening, I've been overseeing the remodel of our master bathroom. That has meant that every day by 8:00, we have workers in our house hammering, banging, and drilling.

So, we took an afternoon and had some fun at the beach taking pictures. There's nothing quite like the salt air to make you feel a bit calmer.

Project Life

If you're a scrapbooker, I'm sure you've already heard about Project Life. It's a simplified way of scrapbooking without the hassle. It incorporates journaling with photos and best of all, I can do it digitally and print out my 8x8 pages directly from their app. It is so easy to keep up with my photos and pages because I can do it right from my iPad. I'm really hoping to keep up with it in 2016.

Here are some of my recently scrapped pages:

Birthday Day

We arrived in Virginia Beach on the 15th and we woke up in our new home on Shelly's birthday! She was so excited.

Her first present was a new bike. A beach cruiser for her beach rides.

While John and Shelly were out getting Shelly's new bike, Lily and I did a little room makeover for Shelly. We added all new bedding, decorative pillows, a cute tassel banner, and some new art items.

SURPRISE!!!

Then we had an afternoon of gift opening.

We moved on to dinner with family at Harold's where she was able to get pizza and a yummy Greek salad.

After dinner, we all came back to our house to celebrate her birthday with two cookie cakes and presents. It was a great birthday surrounded by her family!
