We kicked off October with Shelly attending the big homecoming game and the homecoming dance. And, she spent time helping to decorate the freshmen hall for homecoming.
Shelly, Fynley and I were at home for a pretty serious and scary storm. We were all up at 1:00 a.m. and slept together downstairs. We are surrounded by so many trees and the wind was very intense. The next morning, the yard was covered in leaves and some major limbs.
I chalked painted the large desk we are using in the dining room as a buffet. I was happy with the outcome.
Shelly and I went to visit Lily at Tech during her fall break. The campus was quiet but we had a great time with Lily. We all loved our quick trip to Roanoke to shop and explore.
Over FaceTime, we included Lily in our birthday celebration for John. Technology is an amazing thing.
On Halloween night, Shelly was a ladybug and I was a bee. We handed out candy at the end of the driveway. John set up our fire pit and put on his creepy old man mask. Fynley wore her rufferee costume once again.
