Happiness

I think it’s so important to cultivate your own happiness and surround yourself with upbeat thoughts. So here are some things that make me happy. Hope they make you smile, too. Words of encouragement and pictures of happy faces to make your day a little better.

Too Happy????

Photobucket

Awhile ago John had some friends in town for a visit. One of the fellas was amused/bewildered/enraged (????) by all of the many positive and happy signs in our home. I decided to document the signs and get the opinions of others. Are we too positive and happy according to our signs?

And this message isn't necessarily positive, but it sure does make me happy!

Sunshine and Happiness

Photobucket

Saw one of these cute little solar-powered flowers in a car at Chapel Hill and we all got a big kick out of it. Then just three days later I was surprised to find it in a little shop at the mall. For $5.00 it makes me smile when I see it dance along to the music. The girls love it, too.

Some Happiness

Around here we have been craving some much-needed happiness. And today a little bit of that leaked into our lives in small but good ways.

1. Lily was selected for Student Council from her class. We had talked about Student Council over the summer and she was so excited to tell me she was now a part of it.

2. As mentioned in a previous post, I have downloaded a trial version of Photoshop and have already given it a go. I'm eager to see how I can improve the look of my images once I work with it.

3. Lily signed up for Brownies today. She is super excited to go to the bi-monthly meetings and I am excited to see how much has changed since I was a little Brownie.

4. I won something!!! I ordered this fabulous calendar from erin condren designs and really wanted to get the life planner, but it was all a bit out of my price range.Tonight I received a gift from this terrific company! Apparently I was a winner in the $50 category. So, off I went to order my life planner! Yippy.
5. Shelly had a great day at preschool. Once again, she entered the room with a bit of apprehension but the teachers quickly swooped her up and made me feel relaxed about leaving her. She even told me she made a new friend on the playground. A good day indeed.

And really, isn't it the little things that make us all a little happier???
