Barns & the Countryside

On our way to pick up Lily and her friends from practice the other day, Shelly complained that she had nothing to do in the car. So, in an attempt to quickly get us out the door and keep her happy, I grabbed my camera and told her to take pictures of what she saw along the way.

And, that's just what she did and I love the results!

Photos for the Christmas Card

We went outside on a chilly December afternoon to take some pictures for our Christmas card. Here are the many outtakes (some good and some not so good). These might just capture the "real" image of the girls. Love that I have these to reflect on, as well as, the "perfect" photos.

Random Pics

Well, when the girls are away at school all day I don't have many photo options around the house.

My lucky subject is Daisy! She is relatively cooperative.

I also did a little random design on my nails and snapped a photo of that.

Gee, I sure do wish my models stayed home more!!! :)

A Year in Pictures

Over the past year, I have been keeping track of our lives with a photo a day (click for a look at the calendar documenting the year in pictures). Some days the photo was taken that day and other times I posted photos that meant something to me at that particular moment. It was fun to begin documenting our lives with a photo. I thought it would be an interesting way to reflect back on a year. As our year unfolded, I realized it was more difficult to decide on a photo and at one point I didn't even want to continue documenting the year. March hit us all like a ton of bricks and the sadness that consumed me caused me to want to shut down. But, I decided that I wanted to be able to remember some of the good along with the sad. So, I persevered with the pictures and I am now closing in on a year of photos. I have just 19 days of pictures to go and then I will decide if another year of pictures is something I want to continue. Here are a couple of months from the calendar:

Phone Photos

While my niece was here she explained to me how to get the pictures I have taken on my phone off of my phone and on to my computer. I was super excited about that. So, I put my new knowledge to use and found a few pictures that I was so pleased to have off of the phone. One of my mom in August of 2008, one of the girls at Ikea, and another one of me and Shelly at her preschool in the car waiting for the day to start. Thanks Krissy for all of your technical help.
