Saturday's Photos

This is the last of the series of photos for the week beginning last Sunday the 5th. It was a fun idea and I am eager to put them together in a little album. I liked seeing our lives unfold in front of the camera.

Saturday's Pictures:

I think Shelly has had enough of my picture taking:

Lily enjoying a PB&J:

Shelly brought Spot the dog home with her for the weekend from preschool. She loves taking him everywhere she goes:

John's Uncle Arthur frequently sends us all a card out of the blue. This is the most recent card that he sent the girls (perfect):

We headed off to another festival in the area this weekend. I am referring to the constant festival visits as Festival-Pooloza. The girls always love the merry-go-round:

They waited in line for quite awhile to get on the ferris wheel. I love Shelly's little head poking up from the bar:

Lily created a picture at the spin art machine (one of my carnival favorites as a kid):

Then they decided to tackle the Rapid Slide. This was a big hit with Lily...not so much for Shelly:

Once we were home, John put up the tent and after dinner he made a fire in the ol' fire pit:

We had popcorn and played Trouble in the tent and then spent the night out there until about 7:15 in the morning (my back is eager to sleep in my comfy bed tonight):

Thursday and Friday Photos

A little behind on the pictures. Catching up with two days of pictures.

Thursday Photos:

Didn't take many pictures today. I spent the day organizing my scrapbooking items and the hovel. So, I was caught up in the middle of many messes and neglected to take pictures until tonight.

A typical morning breakfast for my children includes a waffle (I buy the 60 count at Costco so that we always have them on hand):

We made homemade personal pan pizzas for dinner. Here are the girls enjoying theirs:

Friday Photos:

The 10th of October is our 10 year wedding anniversary. I made a little note to accompany John's morning cup of coffee and bowl of cereal:

We ride the golf cart to the bus stop on the non cold and non rainy mornings:

My decaf tea and Shelly's lunchbox in the fridge:

It was raining this morning as I left to take Shelly to school. Our house in the rain:
Me coming and going in the mirror on the way out of the neighborhood:
This is the main road outside of our neighborhood (country):

These horses are mounted at the horse farm acro
ss the road from our 'hood. They make a nice landmark for those coming to see us:

For the last 5 years the girls and I have played a game on the way to preschool...who can find the big balls
on the wires first. If you look closely, you can see the red balls:

The current gas price:

My favorite place to stop on M,W, and F (I order a medium unsweetened iced tea and sometimes get a 3 count chicken mini):

Had to go to Target this morning and I purchased this for Bella:

John and I had a date night for our anniversary. We went to 1618 for seafood and then enjoyed ice cream sandwiches from the gas station on the way home (we needed to get c
hange for a $20 so we picked up the ice cream while we were there):

Wednesday's Photos

On time tonight, here are the photos I took today.

Noticed this little container of adhesives when I wal
ked by them in the hallway and it made me happy:
Lily at home (half day of school today) doing her homework at the kitchen counter and Shelly lending moral support: The new paint in the girls' bathroom (loving it): The new paint in our bedroom (it appears much more lime greeny in this pic than the true color...olive color): Paint in the playroom (fondly referred to as the hovel). Tangerine is such a cool word and sums up this color perfectly: I baked Kookie Brittle this afternoon while the painters were here. It is a Tollhouse recipe...similar to chocolate chip cookies, but I think much tastier and there are no eggs in it. This recipe is one I remember my mom making when I was little:
