Happy Day, Mom!!!

Today my mother would have turned 80. Hard to believe she isn't here on earth to enjoy the day. But, I am hopeful that she is celebrating in heaven. I miss her so much and love her even more. Happy Birthday, Mom!

Around Our House

Just a few photos I captured this past week. The girls loved playing outside last week. They were on their bikes, eating popsicles, and acting silly.

Oh, and I spy a little white sign in the background of this photo---what could that be???

Even though the weather was warm this past week, we still like to bundle up in our blankets. In our den, we have three blankets and in our media room we have at least four blankets.  So, rumpled up blankets are a frequent sight in our house. We just love to snuggle up---winter, spring, summer, or fall!!! :)

Today is my dad's birthday!!!!! He is such a super duper guy and I hope his day is simply perfect. I really wish we could be there with him to celebrate. I am so thankful for my good fortune. There are lots of fathers out there, but mine is truly the best!!!! Love you, dad. Happy Birthday!

Spring is Here

The past few days have been heavenly. The temps are in the upper 70s and it just feels awesome outside. I love it.

The signs of spring are popping up all over the place. So fun to see the trees blooming and feel the warm breezes.

Here are some blooms on our weeping cherry tree. This is my favorite tree!





Shelly loves to be outside riding her bike and playing. She even made some parking spots for her bikes and scooters. Oh, and she is a big fan of her flip flops!





We have some other cherry trees and here they are in bloom. So pretty and happy.





And finally, here is the pool looking pretty and sparkly blue. Every day the water temp is getting a little warmer. Yesterday it hit 64 degrees in the pool.

The Harlem Globetrotters!!

We took the girls to see the show on Sunday afternoon and we all had such a great time. Lots of fun and laughs. These photos are all from the iPhone and not super sharp. If you ever get a chance to see them, I highly recommend it for good fun family entertainment.

Opening!

Look who is ready for some warm weather???? The pool!! We opened it up on Friday. The weather was in the low 80s and that pool was just screaming to be set free. We spent some time yesterday sprucing up her surroundings. And, now we just need the water temp to warm up and we'll be good to go!







The girls were also helping us with the clean up of the pool. I think they are excited to take a dip.

I know it isn't officially spring, but it sure does feel like it here in sunny NC. The girls were outside playing in the 70 degree weather the other day and we decided to have an impromptu photo session. Here are the results:
