Golf Girl

Shelly has been participating in a golf league for a couple of months. Every Thursday she and John would head to a par 3 golf course nearby to play. She's in the early learning phase, but she really stuck with it throughout some warm afternoons.

She participated in a final tournament today and Lily and I came out to watch her do her thing. It was fun to follow her around and watch her interaction with John.

So proud of Shelly and her newly acquired golf skills.

Golf Cart Gal

John has been teaching Shelly the fine art of driving a golf cart. She frequently goes with him while he's golfing and she's in charge of driving the golf cart to meet him along each hole.

She requested a golf cart driver's license. So, we took some photos of her in the cart and she created a fancy golf cart license. Now she's all set for the cart trails and runs the risk of having her license revoked!!! :)

Sideways Golf Cart

John was replacing the batteries in our golf cart the other day. I walked out into the garage to find this---

Car on the Golf Course

There was a golf tournament at our golf course this past weekend. So, it was interesting to see a new car parked on the green behind our house. A golfer who achieved a hole-in-one would be the winner of this Nissan Altima. It has been awhile since we've seen happy and fun events at the course. This was a promising sight of (hopefully) better times for GNGC.

Play On

I liked seeing this on Friday out my kitchen window. It made me smile and it made me shed a tear. I was happy to see him back out there.
