Target Shopping Spree

Shelly woke up on Monday morning and became a teenager! It was her birthday AND she had the day off from school. What a bonus. Shelly was presented with a certificate for a 13 minute shopping spree at Target. We had a great time watching her sprint around the store to capture a total of 9 items from the clothing, crafts, and candy departments. Fun!

Target Cartwheel

Have you used the Target Cartwheel app???? Oh my goodness, you must check it out.

I downloaded it about 6 months ago and just didn't get it at first. Then I saw the savings that some people were getting and I had to investigate it more.

It's pretty simple to use. Create an account. Scan or search items you want to buy. You can do this at Target or before you head to the store. Add the coupons you find on the app and then show the clerk your scan code when you check out. Super fun and easy.

Here are some of the recent coupons I received when I was shopping. Each item I picked up I scanned and looked for extra deals. Anout 1/3 of my purchases received additional savings via a coupon from the app. I saved a total of $5.40 and then got my usual 5% off when I used my Red Card.

This is what the scan code looks like when you're ready to check out.

I was so happy to save some cash and I had to share my new bargain tool with everyone.

And while I was at Target, I spied the Easter items rolling out!

Oh, and this is just my opinion of Cartwheel...not a sponsored post. Of course, if Target sees this and wants me to be a Target ambassador, feel free to give me a call!!! I think I might just be your girl.

09.02.07

Good Sunday Morning to all!!! We slept in until about 8 a.m. and got up to make a buffet of breakfast items...mini cinnamon buns, eggs, french toast sticks, waffles, coffee, milk, and chocolate chai tea. Then finished up some laundry, straightened up the house a bit, cleaned up the kitchen, and wandered through a blog or two. All this time (post breakfast) John has been working on a Soduko puzzle...for like an hour and a half!!! He's sharpening those mental skills...good for him.

So, now for a recent Target purchase update. I bought Lily the cutest pair of simple black flats at KMart a while back and have been trying to find a pair for me that I liked and fit me well. Finally, Target came through with the perfect pair and I also found some in leopard print on sale, so had to have those as well. And I'm thinking this pair would be a cute addition to my winter wardrobe (LOL...not quite sure what my winter wardrobe consists of at this point).

We are looking forward to a little cookout this afternoon at our friend's home. Made some of the Italian appetizer bites and Ghiradelli brownies for the event. Taking it easy on Labor Day. Cheers to all.
