Wow, long time no blog posts! We have been busy soaking up the summer.


The girls and I made a trip to Virginia Beach on Saturday, the 21st. We hit the beach, hung out with family, shopped, and ate some great food.

On Monday, the girls went to camp at the school where my sister works in VB. I was proud of both girls. They didn't know any other campers and headed off happily and willingly to volleyball and cheerleading camp. They both had a terrific time and made some new friends.

While they were with my sister and her family, John and I took a trip to Biloxi, MS and New Orleans. It was the first time in 6 years that we took a trip as a couple, alone. It was just what we needed. We laughed and laughed and laughed. Such a fun time.

We were so grateful that the girls were with family while we were gone. It was a fabulous 10 days of new and different adventures for us all.

The Beach

Our trip to Virginia Beach was terrific. We always love being with our family when we're there. And our little family of four spent the day at the beach on 8th street. That's something we rarely do when we're in VB. The girls loved the ocean, the beach, and the boardwalk. It was so fun. We also got a chance to eat at our favorite local restaurant...Bubba's.

After dinner we headed to the beach for an evening walk. We took pictures by the Duck In gazebo, we saw crab shells, and a huge jellyfish. We put our toes in the water and walked to the bridge.

A perfect trip.

Graduation #4

The fourth graduation ceremony was conducted on the 19th of June in Virginia Beach. Our nephew, Erik, graduated from First Colonial High School with honors. It was another happy celebration with family.

My sister-in-law had a party for Erik, his friends, and his family a few days before. Everyone had a great time.

And with this the fourth graduation under my belt, it concludes the 2010 graduation extravaganza! And we made it. I attended all four graduations and covered over 1500 miles in 15 days!!! Great job to all of the graduates and best of luck for a future filled with happiness and success.

Colorful Girls

On our way to Virginia Beach last week, the girls entertained themselves with their Silly Bandz. If they haven't hit your town yet (the bands, not the girls!), hold on...they're coming!!! They each have somewhere around 150 bands.

Once we got to my father's house. They were ready to hit the pool for some polka dot fun! These two make me smile all of the time!
