Daisy Gets a Trim
It was time for Daisy to go in for a trim and we decided it was a good idea for her to get a lion cut. This would help to eliminate all of the mats in her fur and make it a little easier for my dad to maintain. We were all a little surprised with the results...a whole new kitty!!!

Fluffy Cat
Daisy has been my constant companion throughout the moving and packing process. So thankful to have her furry little self around me each day.

Driving Miss Daisy
The buyers had a home inspection done on our house the other day and our realtor asked if I could take the cat and leave the house during the inspection. So, I did just that. Daisy and I drove around for over three hours. We even shared some chicken minis from Chick Fil A. She was a very good sport. Since I wasn't comfortable with getting in and out of the car with Daisy inside, we spent the entire time together inside the car. Here are a few photos from our outing.

Here's What's Happening
I haven't updated the blog in awhile. So, here's what been happening.
Last weekend Lily spent quite a bit of time working on her World History project. She wrote a research paper on Princess Diana's charitable contributions and she completed a rather detailed visual aid to go along with it. We all signed a breath of relief once the paper was completed and the project was turned in to her teacher.
My dad was hospitalized on Sunday and will hopefully be able to go home today. While he was in the hospital, my sister spent her time updating us and being there for my dad.
Shelly and John are preparing for a 5K race that they'll participate in tomorrow.
And in less important news, Daisy has started an Instagram account. Her name on Instagram is lechatdaisy and she'll be adding photos of her day to day activities.

This and That Snow Days
So, when you're pretty much housebound on these snow days things get silly and crazy. So, here are some photos and video to prove just that!

And, on Day Four of the never ending snow days, Shelly has the stomach flu...never a dull moment.

Around Here
So, my blog posts have been sparse. I think it's the time of year. I sometimes feel like hibernating in January and February. So, my posts aren't full of rich content. But, here are a few things going on around here.
Daisy got a hold of something the other day and really became violently ill. Poor thing was so distraught afterward and snuggled with me all evening...just like a little baby does when they're sick. We aren't sure what happened, but it was pretty pitiful. She is now doing fine.
Valentine's day is fast approaching. I put together these little gifts for the 13 "extra" teachers/staff at Shelly's school. I found the fun little tag here. I'm not quite done packaging them. I may add some candies and will wrap it all up with baker's twine.
The next set of Valentine's are for Shelly's four main teachers. I found the fun monster tag here. We all love the EOS balm here, so I thought these were a cute little gift. I added some candies and a set of note cards with each teacher's initial on it. I found the cards at Michael's.

| We are obsessed with playing this game. It permanently sits on the table and we announce, randomly, that it's time to play. |
I went to a local shop and bought this fun pillow. It perfectly describes the feeling I want in my home.

New for Christmas
I've added a few new items to our holiday decor this year. Shelly and I actually spent some time last week decorating the house. We just need to add our tree after Thanksgiving and we will be ready to go!
John bought me this adorable tall snowman from the secretary at Shelly's school. I just love it. It is actually created from tobacco sticks.
I went to a local shop the other day and purchased this adorable pillow. I love how it goes with my chevron pillows.
I bought this fun plaid tablecloth at Marshall's and added our cute little tree to the table. I used the red ribbon that came with the packaging on the tablecloth to use as a garland on the tree. The topper is a sweet Snowbabies figurine that my mom gave me the Christmas before Lily was born. So sweet.

Daisy thought it would be fun to get in on the photo action!!!
