10.11.06

· So, yesterday 10/10 was our wedding anniversary. John and I have been married for eight wonderful years. Marriage is a constant learning experience and every year gets richer and more fulfilling. We each learn more ways to balance our lives with one another and how to create a loving family. I think that’s what a lifelong partner is all about…balance and love.

· We aren’t big gift givers. We watched Walk the Line the other day and it really stuck with both of us. So, I got John the CD soundtrack from the movie. If you know John, you know music isn’t his thing, but he really enjoyed JC’s music. The combo of the love story and the songs made this the ideal gift for him on our anniversary. I presented it to him at breakfast with his card, his bowl of Fruit Loops, and his coffee. Lovely. He surprised me with flowers, wine, and cheese before sweeping us all off our feet and heading out to dinner. Perfection.

· The big PTA Fall Festival has come and gone…in the blink of an eye. We plotted and planned for three months and now…poof – it’s over. The weather was iffy, but we pulled it off with a few last minute changes here and there. I am pleased to have been a part of the event this year and hope to improve upon it for next year, as well. The girls had a fantastic time at the Festival. Lily was the princess for her class this year. She was a bit reluctant to have her photo taken, but mommy snapped some anyway. Shelly went nutty over the train ride. Her enthusiasm for it was evident!

· We saw three little deer scamper across the golf course last week and I had to take a few photos of them. Here they are…look closely; they were in our neighbor’s yard.

· Oh, big news…our new Target had their Grand Opening on Sunday and we were there for it. I have a little montage of photos from the day. And, although big, it is NOT a Super Target. Oh well.

Blogger is being difficult...hoping to post the pictures with the words soon!!!
So, there are my tidbits for you. Hope you find happiness in your day.
