She's---E L E V E N

Today is Lily's eleventh birthday. So so so hard for me to wrap my head around. It really seems like just yesterday I was holding this sweet little girl in my arms for the first time and watching her blow bubbles. Her eyelashes were so long and the nurse commented on them in the delivery room. She warmed my heart from the minute I met her. She was surrounded by family when she was just minutes old and they loved her so much.

Lily is a young lady now. No longer a little girl who needs me as much as she once did. She is growing up. I am not so sure I am ready for her to drift away from me, but I know that is inevitable.

Off to Kindergarten in 2005

I love her with all of my heart and am so thankful for all that she has added to our lives. Happy Birthday, Lily Bird!
