Chicago!!!

On Friday we left from Raleigh for a long weekend getaway to Chicago. It was such a fun trip and we were so impressed with all of the fun sights in the city.

After an exciting taxi ride into the city and checking into our hotel, we had dinner at Giordano's...so delicious.

Saturday night we headed to the Navy Pier and rode the iconic World's Fair Ferris Wheel

Sunday morning we took a bus to the zoo. This zoo is not only great but it's also free!!! Here are one of my favorite zoo animals...the gorillas.

After shopping on State Street and eating a Magnolia Bakery cupcake it was time to hit Houlihan's for a drink and to snuggle by the fire

John and I stopped at the Big Bar in our hotel for a drink

After breakfast on Monday it was time to get a taxi and head to the airport

The girls spent their time in the airport on their ipods and watching it snow! Our flight was luckily only delayed by an hour due to the weather conditions. A super fun time in Chicago was had by all.
