Our 4th

Things were a little different for this 4th of July. Our usual party/parade in NC was not part of our tradition this year. Oddly, it was the first time in about 12 years that the NC party would not be held. Strangel, that made our new plans feel a little better. 

It was a cloudy/rainy day. So, we stayed inside most of the day and played games. Then we had a modified cookout for the four of us. Around 7:30, we headed to the bay to watch fireworks on the beach. The view was great, but the many people around us were a bit annoying. We will find a better location next year. 

And, with that, we celebrated America's Independence Day in a new way.
