Voting in Small Town America

Do you know when it pays to live way out in the country???? On Election Day!!! I drove up to the voting precinct, approached the "lines" and found only one person ahead of me in line...and I knew her! So, my total time spent voting was a mere 8 minutes (and that included the time I spent chatting with the woman I knew in line). But, really if that had been 2 hours and 8 minutes I still would have waited in line. So nice to be free to vote!!! Go vote, if you haven't, and may your wait be as short as mine.

Aren't small towns great? I had no line, but needed to change my address. That took longer than the actual voting process.

  2. No line in my non-small town though! I was in and out quick. I think people ran into lines by going 1st thing in the morning.
