We worked quickly today to get many things accomplished. John took out our old toilet downstairs and replaced it with a new one. He did this in between refereeing and setting up the train for the girls.
As part of our advent activity tonight, the girls and I watched my all-time favorite holiday movie, The House Without a Christmas Tree. It came out in 1972 when I was 6 and I remember watching it several years in a row. The girls seemed to enjoy it and I cried at the end (as I did way back then). Funny to read the review of this movie. It seems there is a bit of a cult following for this early 70s television movie.
Another activity for the evening included sorting out toys for trash, donation, or keeping. The majority of the items are staying, but I was pleased to see that most of what's left are toys the girls really do play with on a daily basis. Their favorites are the dolls and all of the extras that go with the dolls.
