Party Time

Lily had her 9th birthday party yesterday afternoon. We were keeping it simple this year, so she was allowed to invite 2 or 3 friends over for swimming, pizza, cake, crafts, and a movie. They had a great time and I noticed that the fun level was increased because there were less girls. I think we'll continue to have a parties like this...much less stressful.

The girls headed out to the pool right after school and we lucked out with warm temps and sunshine!! They had popcorn snacks and pixie sticks in the grass.

Then they came inside for the crafts (will post pictures of the crafts later---forgot to take any in the midst of the creating). They made summer tote bags and shrinky dink key chains and necklaces. The girls did a great job with these.

They stopped to watch High School Musical 3 and danced around the den!

They took a little intermission for pizza and then back to the show.

Finally, we ended with gift opening and cake eating. The girls were great and lots of smiles and laughs were had. I'd call it all a success.
