So, here are some fun/interesting facts about my momma:

1. She loved to write. She kept loads of journals and calendars documenting the events in her life.
2. My mom was very funny.

3. She was so smart and knew lots about a variety of topics.
4. Although, as she was getting older her physical health was declining a bit her mental health was as sharp as a tack. I don't know any other woman her age who was as quick and with-it as she was.
5. My mother was a great mathematician. She loved numbers and was actually my Geometry teacher in school.
6. She had a very fun and sarcastic side to her that I loved.
7. Her nature was warm and loving.
8. My mother had the best advice and I think that is one of the things I miss the most.

9. My mom had beautiful hands.
10. She loved my children (and all of her grandchildren) unconditionally.

11. She was a terrific seamstress and one of the craftiest women I know. She made of the bedding/linens for the girls' nurseries.
12. My mom was accepting of her children regardless of our actions. She was always there to support us even if we had made some poor decisions.

13. She loved her husband and loved to spend her time with him.
14. She had all kinds of crazy superstitions that I have continued in my life (for the good or the bad!)...don't put shoes on furniture, if you return to the house after forgetting something you have to sit down before you leave again, no sewing on Sundays...many more.
15. My mom loved to eat out. When I was about 13 or 14 my mom, dad, and I started eating out all of the time. She passed on this love to me!!!
16. She was a fabulous friend. She had several lifelong friends and she was so good to them.
17. She was a thoughtful gift giver and she always knew how to wrap a gift perfectly.
18. My mom was my best friend.
19. She loved kitty cats. All of the cats I have owned, liked her better than me!!! LOL
20. My mother loved to travel and she had been to all 50 states!
21. She was a great listener. I filled hours on the phone with her chatting away while she patiently listened to me and then offered her sound advice and input.
22. She lived her life to the fullest!
I just love her to pieces. If you knew her, I am sure you knew many of these special things about her. And, if you didn't know my mom, I hope that you have a better sense of what made her so very important to me.
She sounds absolutely lovely and how lucky that she passed on those things to you.
